W.I.S.E DJ HELPFUL TIP LIST

• As soon as you have booked your reception site contact DJ or entertainment to avoid short notice fees.
• Meet with the DJ in advance and go through party details.
• Look for personality; after all, the person will be interacting with your family & friends.
• Ask about how many satisfied customers: videos, letter, and referrals.
• Be clear on the duties and overtime cost. Have an agreement in writing.
• Make sure DJ and MC dress properly, attire should be formal unless otherwise requested.
• Inquire about equipment capabilities and sound quality to entertain the crowd.
• Select the music to be played that will set a happy mood and provide entertainment for both you and your guest to enjoy.
• Music to accommodate all ethnic groups the right style and tempo of music to fit your party.
• Make sure entertainment is set up next to dance floor. Designate an area so that any technical requirements do not interfere with guests. ex: wires, speakers, etc.
• Check with the Division of Consumer Affairs. They can tell you about the numbers of complaints if any, and how those complaints were resolved.
• Will facility be able to accomodate last minute guests?
• Make sure DJ is set up next to dance floor but away from guest tables.
• Designate an area for DJ so that any technical requirements or set up that entertainment must provide so wires can be run properly.
